P1640, WEST OF SHETLAND Parts of four blocks in Quadrant 213 were awarded to Sagex in the 25th UK licensing round. The licence area is 331 km2. The blocks are located adjacent to the Faroese licence 013 and mapped closures are straddling the Faroese/UK border which was the primary reason for applying for these blocks as a frontier licence. |

P201 (SE) AND P1383, CAUSEWAY FIELD Licenses P201(SE) and P1383 comprise the two blocks 211/22a SE and 211/23d located in the prolific Northern North Sea. The licenses are surrounded by the giant fields Dunlin, Hutton, Cormorant, Brent and Statfjord, as well as a number of other oilfields and discoveries. Sagex farmed in to the licenses in May 2006, and participated in the first appraisal well on the Causeway structure since 1992. The well successfully proved up additional hydrocarbons, and several successful appraisal/development wells followed in 2007 and 2008. |
